Building Capacity and Strengthening The Alameda Business Association
This summer, our team is kicking off a new contract with the Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs focused on building capacity for The Alameda Business Association, helping to strengthen both its board of directors and the organization as a whole. We will focus on supporting the board through targeted trainings, while advancing the association’s impact through consistent messaging, community outreach, and strategic planning.
In addition to our work with the board, our team will carry out a comprehensive range of initiatives, including:
Drafting strategic plans for the district with clear key performance indicators.
Creating communications plans and performing outreach to community members, business owners, and landowners.
Marketing the association to businesses and the district to consumers through market analysis and planning, social media management, and press outreach.
Providing workshops and trainings for board members on topics such as organizational strategy, Robert’s Rules of Order, goal setting and strategic planning, and overall development.
Perform board recruitment and succession planning.
Through these efforts, we will help The Alameda Business Association grow its capacity, strengthen its leadership, and expand its presence in the community, ensuring that both the board and the district are positioned for long-term success.
